Nagaur Fair Festival wallpapers at Rajasthan

The quiet town of Nagaur is one of the most picturesque villages in the Rajput townships; the town comes to life during the Nagaur fair. The cattle fair organized in this place is the second largest in the state of Rajasthan. It is an annual festival held during the month of Magh according to the Hindu calendar, which falls on the months of January or February.

The fair is popular for its camel, cow, horse and bullock trade. The owners stand beside their animals flaunting colorful turbans and huge moustaches. The owners and buyers bargain for the best prices to suit themselves and strike a deal. The bullocks of Nagaur are popular for their fitness and huge size, attracting a wide number of buyers.

The Mirchi bazaar at Nagaur is a major attraction here, where you can buy iron crafts, leather accessories and wooden items during the fair. The popular games played during this festival are cock fights, camel races, tug-of-war and food fests. In the evenings, the atmosphere becomes splendid with the folk songs and music played by the local artists.
